This idea came so easily, I can’t help but think I’ve seen a similar cartoon somewhere, but maybe not. I don’t know. Anyway, this came up as a result of thinking about the NRA’s reaction to the latest mass murder tragedy in Oregon. Their knee-jerk defensiveness is offensive due to the lack of compassion or thoughtfulness in their responses to shootings. One hundred million gun owners in the USA, only four million of which are NRA members, yet they claim to speak for all gun owners and control the debate and the policy with their vitriolic rhetoric. I think this cartoon accurately depicts their perception of Jesus. #inktober
